Not quite the number of the beast but close enough to get everyone excited. I got up that morning and it was fucking freezing. If hell froze over it'd be that cold. I got out of bed and my foot hurt like hell. It was throbbing and swollen and any movement hurt. I hopped out to the shower. I couldn't put any weight on it and moving it hurt. I felt nauseous do I went back to bed. I later called in sick. Bed was nice and warm. It kept my foot elevated and I would put it outside the sheets every once and a while to keep it cool (better than icing it).
Yeah I finally did it. I rolled by ankle playing indoor soccer. It was a harsh game. We got down to 5 fouls each which then goes to a penalty goal (just you and the goaly). Both teams had two penalty goals each. Then after 7 fouls they start sending people off. We got a few sent off. But it was close. We lost 6-8 in the end. By the end of it I ran for the ball and landed on the side of my foot. Hopped off. After the game it felt alright and I walked to the car and drove home. Next day was another story.
Until lunch time I was hopping around leaning on my hockey stick (haven't used that in a while). After lunch time (and a few episodes of family guy (foot elevated)), it got a bit better and I could rest a bit of weight on it. By the end of the day I could walk around the house ok. It pays to rest it I say.
That night we went up to my uncle and Aunties (Angela & Robs) for my cousins birthday dinner. Was good to catch up with all the family.
