Till the Crispy Ones birthday. Geeze, I can't believe it, a whole year ago since Vegas... time for another trip ;)
So this weekend Eddie, Bonnie and I took my cousins up to a jousting competition in Upper Hutt. It was pretty cool. Knights in armour on their horses, riding at each other at full bore, lancing down, breaking against the sheild. One guy got knocked off the horse and the lance shattered which was pretty cool. The audience cheered loudly for that one.
There were also plenty of maidens, wenches, archers, sword fighters, pheasants, etc wondering about. They even managed to reproduce the muck all over the place, no wait that was the crap weather we had had the previous day.
So after that we took the cousies up the hill to fill sacks of pine cones for my nana. A tree had fallen down up there so we took advantage of that.
So I've posted a new (old) disturbance and also some new tramping photos. Check all of those out as theres some good photos, Tom at Boogie Wonderland and the trip down Wye Creek was pretty awesome.
What else is up? Reading Terry Pratchett's Disc World series at the moment. Good light humour. I'm enjoying them.
Am filling in for another team at indoor soccer at the moment. Its working out really well. The guys are good but not orgainsed - theres never any subs and people just do what they want, but it seems to work. Last game we won 7 - 0. They've only lost 2 games so far. Its an awesome team and good to be on a good team.
Speaking of another trip... looking at the Greek Islands at the moment. They look pretty cool.
