Another one bites the dust... 10:11PM
Another item ticked off my list. Bonnie and I visited the Kaori Wildlife Sanctuary on Sunday. It was a beaut day. In fact the whole week has been good weather. We've had the house to ourselves as Ed has been down South somewhere. Almost every day has been sunny. We our first BBQ of the summer (sad but true) then our second. Ran into cousin Simon and visited the Kaori Wildlife Sanctuary.
It was great. I love those kinds of things. People brining back the bush and wildlife. We saw tuataras (huge beasts), wetas in a cave and tonnes of different birds. Its quite a lot larger than I thought it would be and lots more forrest. Theres even a dam or two up there. We only walked halfway up it but saw a lot of interesting things. Perhaps I should put some photos up.

We also saw a family of about 15 or 20 baby quails hopping through the undergrowth. Very cute.
