Legend in his own mind, creator of all you see here, he walks this Earth on the path of the becoming.

They say time is of the essence and while it is not exactly "of the essence" at the moment, I feel that I am distinctly lacking in it. Things are settling down though and I'm slowly finding time to do the little things again.

The other weekend was Dan and Deanne's (2nd) wedding. That was pretty cool. A number of us met at the Thistle and had a beer then shared a taxi van out there (don't ask me where it was, I've forgotten already, up near Porirua somewhere). This ended up with Tom arriving first at an event, an almost unheard of occurance.

I've been thinking about composts and its awesome to finally be able to dispose of the organic rubbish. I reckon it cuts down on almost half of our rubbish, at least the most smelly and soppy bits. Its definitely a good thing. Although, having moved out here we suddenly find ourselves right smack bang in the middle of the suburban pamplet drop. We seem to get a huge bundle of advertising pamplets almost every second day. Its crazy. Even if I wanted to look at them (sometimes I do), I just can't get through the share volume of them, and they're not even good for burning on the fire. Might have to get a no junk mail sign.

Oh yeah, happy birthday to Teresa today!

We went round to Steve and Teresas for a tropical cocktail party on Sat night. Good stuff. Haven't had a good run of cocktails in ages. Its a bit of an evolution from the TT cocktail party we had years back when we downed 5 billy bad-asses at 5 (5pm). I think they were something like 1/3 JDs, 1/3 tequila and 1/3 tobasco sauce. And it just got messier from there on in...

This one was much more sophisticated and the cocktails were actually nice :)

So the latest Peter F. Hamilton book is out (sci-fi) and pretty good. Currently my favourite author. Need to wait now till the next one comes out.

The wood is pretty much stacked and put away. Theres just 3 pieces left which I'm resigned to sawing up.

Daylight savings has kicked in, a few weeks earlier than usual. It seems a good time for it. Now we have light at night and its only going to get better. Summer is on its way and with it the beers, BBQs and beaches...

I have some string and some wooden stakes with the plan to stake out a vege garden in the back yard. And at some point I might actually build one as well.

With a little more free time I'm looking to catch up with a few people, family included. That seems to be happening naturally now (with other peoples functions). Am a little poorer at the moment though. Payday seems to come around and pay off most of my previous weeks debts just to leave me with SFA for the next week. Have found some good cheap lunches tho...

KCs - Nasi Goreng ($9 for two lunches, $4.50 each)
Subway - Sub of the day ($3.90)

So anyway back to it...
