Trains Hut 10:51PM
Bonnie and I went tramping to Trains Hut over the weekend. We had been meaning to go for the last weekend or two but due to bad weather put it off till now.
This weekend the weather was grand. Trains hut is at the end of the Waitotora Valley (just past Wanganui). It is a 4 hour walk in and 4 hour walk out again with the first hour being along a dirt road to an old homestead then the next 3 being through bush. Theres very little uphill as you follow the river up to a cosy 6 person hut close to a cool water fall. We had the place to ourselves so was great and we even heard kiwis during the night. I have to say the stars out there were amazing. I've posted some photos in the tramping link on the left. However I find this photo particularly amusing.
Those things are nasty fuckers. Its like waxing your legs pulling them off one by one.
In other news I managed to sell my car. Pretty happy about that. Should just about pay off all the bills I have :)
