Success where I have failed before
Much has happened in a short period of time. I have left my job. I have had a worthy leaving party. I have moved out of the QBA apartment and now live in Raumati South. I have sold my car for a reasonable price. I visited Stokes Valley for the first, and I hope last time in my life. I have adjusted my financial position like I never thought I would. I now have portable music, much sooner than I thought I would. I have had two hot baths in two days, more than I have managed in the last two years. I have caught two trains in one day, more than I have managed in the last 5 years. I have run through a manuka forest and a pine forest and breathed in the beautiful aroma. I have eaten salmon off the carcass and not paid a cent for it. I have started flossing, despite only being partially convinced of the benefits. I have slept 12 hours in one go, and still had a whole day to call my own. I have proved to myself I've still got it and connected my PC to the internet using new hardware in a foreign environment in less than 10 minutes. I have looked over my accumulated assets and felt confident in their safety. I actually find myself able to write a perihelion entry without rushing, without feeling it a chore.

Friday night was a very big one. I was a cross dresser, although only because I knew I had to. I really have seen enough of Crispina now. I had to drink Tequila and Apline Warmer to get through it. My toenails are still bruised from the shoes (Did Dean's girlfriend get them back Tom?). My leaving present from TechTonics was a CD/MP3 player. Very cool. Very useful. Already flattened one set of batteries.
Saturday was spent recovering. It wasn't so bad because I had already dumped most of the drinks back out at Dockside and Vespa. No packing got done today
Sunday was moving day. 12 hours of packing and moving, followed by 4 hours of driving to Hastings. Was properly buggered.
Monday, I drove back to Raumati and went to bed. Still buggered.
Tuesday I spend the day in Wellington, feeling what it is like to be unemployed. Damn great. Got so much done. Helped Ash recover Perihelion from sabotage. Maybe next time. You can't stop world domination that easily.
Last night I slept 12 hours and woke up feeling like I had finally caught up on the months (years) of crappy sleeps. Have I really? Wait and see if tonight is the same.
