Now that I'm a grown up I can stay up late. 8:06AM
Last week I was in Brussels - my second trip to Belgium in two weeks.
At easter I was in Bruges. We just packed our bags and turned up at Waterloo station to find a train to take us somewhere - anywhere. So we ended up on Belgium - land of beer, mussels, fries and chocolate. What an obvious choice for easter! This time around I went to Brussels for work. Plenty of beer to be had and not much sleep. A number of late late nights / early early mornings of drinking and working. Fits the axiom Work Hard, Play Hard just perfectly. My french is non-existant, so that made it even more fun. Ripping around the streets in an old citroen was like we were in a movie. Someone commented on The Italian Job. Some raspberry & cherry beer, and hand made chocolates accompanied me home of course.
Back now and looking for something to spend my feb bonus on - took two months to arrive, so has to be worth the wait. Big sounds for the bedroom is near the top of the list. I just received my new relaxation cd's in the mail - sounds of the seaside, rain and wind and all that guff. To make me sleep better, although I think I found the solution now anyway - lots of beer.
My flatmates are having a meat-fest after returning from Argentina with lots of beef. It's good tasting stuff. Makes me want to stay away from British beef even more.
Next week I go to Amsterdam. If Brussels means beer, what does Amsterdam mean, I wonder? It's gonna be a mind blower! nya nya nya.
All right smelly people. See you round.
