Philly 9:50AM

Now that I am an American, I had to celebrate the 4th of July. I had enough cocktails to temporarily loose my jacket. Good boy barman found it and we were reunited the next day.

I am now scheduled to work on a project that starts in Philadelphia at the end of July, and continues through to early September. I have to make the most of London in the mean time. Perhaps even use up some of the 28 days of leave I still have left for this year. It seems so difficult to use it. I also have to make the most of Amanda. I won't see her for that time, and it's kinda-of early days in the relationship. Don't know how to address that one yet.

I am going to the Polo next Thursday, so I've got to go shopping for some clothes worthy of the event. There is a distinct hole in my wardrobe under the "ponsey upper-class dress casual" category. And then I will go and hang with Charles and drink fancy champagne. Inconveniently, it's on the same day that my mum's cousin Virginia arrives, so I won't be able to meet her at the airport.

London Terror 11:08PM

The latest knowledge is that there have been six explosions in London. Some in the underground and some on buses. One bus has been completely demolished at Tavistock Square. It's all happening close to my office. In the map the arrow points at the blown up bus. My office is on the right hand side of the map where Clerkenwell road meets Leather Lane. There is some excitement at Russell Square too.

I think I've accounted for everyone. The army is out on the streets too.
