drug trials 1:57AM
got back from drug trials this morning. i'm helping to test the absorbancy of small doses of an acne drug for copious amounts of money.. well $700 is heaps for me. from 7.00 yesterday till 8.00 this morning was spent in a disused psych ward at the brissy hospital with 25 other students needing cash with catheters in our arms. we were only testing the absorbancy difference between 2 20mg pills and a 40mg pill so it's totally safe. and the doctor whos in charge of it all lets her daughter, one of my mates in engineering, do it. we had blood taken from us pretty much hourly including a midnight and 4 am bleed. got heaps of study done anyway 'cos there's nothing else to do. gotta go back for 5 more bleeds over the next 3 days then gotta repeat it all the weekend after next. then i'll have enough dosh to pay my rent here while i'm in nz. sweet huh. who needs a day job when i can do a drug trial every 2 months
study break 6:57AM
currently on a study break. group study is so good sometimes. kate, ryan and i have spent the arvo arguing over multichoice answers with the aid of textbooks and notes. i feel progress is being made. such a good feeling.
