well it's been a little while since i wrote and heaps has been ahappenin as usual. cambridge was good, a little boring with 2 kids to look after and nothing else to do all day, but money is good. caught up with jenny one night too 'cos she was working up there for the whole holidays. don't know how she handled it. her job was shitty (literally!) and cambridge is not the most happening place especially when you don't know anyone there. anyway was real good to catch up with her. haven't really spoken to her all year properly. one good thing about nga tawa is the friends you make. it didn't seem strange at all to slip straight back into comfortable conversation with someone who i haven't really seen in over a year, until i thought about it after. there is no one else (except select few family) who i can do that with apart from mates from nga tawa. okay and winton and melissa too.. hmm i think thats it! point of all that was the only good thing about nga tawa was the mates we made. and corny as this sounds they're mates for life.
so after handing the kids over to mum on thursday i headed for auckland, and the BIG DAY OUT! well as usual words cannot describe how cool this day is. i imagine its like being a kid at disneyland for me. a huge playground. the rides and cheap as stalls and of course the all good bands. the atmosphere makes it. i love it! bought a hat and heaps of jewellery and stuff. didn't crowd surf this time though could have water surfed with all the rain! got totally soaked. so that was my 4th big day out.
got home to my auntie and uncles at about midnight and had a good sleep in. was so tired after babysitting all week. then i got up to find that another of my dads brothers and his wife and SEVEN kids were coming to stay for the weekend! they turned up about 10pm that night. awesome kids tho. sooo well behaved. i spose they'd be used to looking after themselves. feel so sorry for their mum, ann, tho. fuck seven kids, what a handful. 3 is my absolute max i've decided. 2 idealy. my reasoning is in celestine prophecy. and ash, is there some scientific explanation to why you believe that when you need money you'll get it? ...and is there some scientific reason for picking up all the 5c pieces you find? or are we seeing you stray from the straight and narrow scientific theoretical path you have set for yourself? ;)
so my sunday was spent at the auckland zoo which is really cool. haven't been since i was so little i don't remember it. and the kids were no trouble at all. we kept losing the parents! they all left this morning and not long after i headed off too. so i'm home. for a few days anyway!
