still haven't unpacked 12:22PM

well i've been back three days and i still haven't unpacked.. new carpet got laid (go the carpet ;) so all my stuff is only just gradually making its way to my room. i can't find ANYTHING! its been pissing me off somethin chronic but i'll deal with it tomorrow. sleeping in a relatively empty room again tonight. its kinda nice not having any clutter tho. gonna start storing some of my stuff in other parts of the house, i mean we do have a whole house so i may as well branch out.

picnic last night was choice. southbank is really cool at night. especially because the river stops being a disgusting brown mess to being a dark shimmering reflection of the city lights. didn't get home too late but was still not happy about getting up at 7 to move the rest of my stuff out for the carpet man who was supposed to be here at 8.30 but didn't turn up till after 10. turns out our booking had been cancelled for some stupid reason. i didn't deal with all that tho 'cos i went to the valley markets with adrian and bronwyn. bronwyn is adrian cousin from canberra. was very restrained and only spent $10 on some jewellery. was real tired and it was real hot so we only lasted a couple of hours. got home to find the carpet man still doin his stuff so couldn't do anything but sit outside. read a bit waiting for him to finish. once he'd gone still couldn't do anything 'cos the carpet needed vacuuming before anything could be put back and we didn't have vacuum bags. so i messaged kate (on my new phone which i bought off abbie and becky :) about the bags and waited some more. i was tired and hot and couldn't even lie down 'cos all the couches and beds were inaccessible. ended up going for a swim which was all good. it is really hot here at the mo. its not good.. been feeling real lethargic during the day. i reckon i should become nocturnal so i can do stuff at night when its cool enough to walk without sweating. tho im finding it hard enough to sleep at night because of the heat let alone during the day when it is about 10 degrees hotter. and humid too. tho all the whinging aside.. its really nice not to be cold. i love the heat so much better than the cold and give me a couple of weeks and i know i'll acclimatize again. don't get me wrong i love snuggling up under the duvet when its raining on your roof in winter. and open fires are the best with hot chocolate and ug boots. but the thing is most of the time its not at all like that. its freezing your arse off, getting soaking on a miserable day just getting from the car to the shops. its wishing you had central heating and living in thermals. give me togs, blue skies and 30+ degrees anyday.
