What if consciouseness is just a by product of our reactive reflexes. Think of a venus flytrap, it reacts to a stimuli in a very simple way, is consciousness just a result of the need to manage millions of reactive reflexes, with the ""soul"" a happy by-product of our complex survival mechanism.
As luck would have it all of these by-products allow me to go and fix someones e-mail which Im off to do now.
I am beginning to believe that the answer to Life and Everything is a lot simpler than we all like to beleive.
