Washington DC and heaps of other things 6:59AM

Okay so after that last entry, which seemed liike months ago my sister and I drove south to Washington DC. My sister stayed one night, and the next day before heading back that night, she left me with her friend who was house sitting a few blocks from the center of town. Infact he was house sitting the house of some very rice people, who are in their early twenties and the heirs to a soft drink fortune. Bit of life on the other side, and the first and probably last time I'll sleep in a four poster bed! I spent a few days being a tourist there, checking out just a few of the massive Simthsonian museums and the town itself. I made it to the Eighteenth Street Lounge (ESL) bar for couple of beers, which is where all the DJs realeased on the ESL record label go, and saw a the White House and the Pentagon.

The MFP 7:04AM

Well back in Wellington now. Feels strange being here again. Very mixed feelings I find rather hard to articulate here, and can't really do so now for other reasons. Felt darn strange being back at work for a bit the other day too.

Cool to catch up with everybody in town. Still only about ' of the way through the list of people to catch up with. So the next few weeks will keep me very busy.

As Ash mentioned we met up last night at Jet bar. I think he was a bit tired and wasn't in peak form. Don't know if I'm happy to hear I ""haven't changed a bit"". Don't really agree to be honest, I think I have changed, probably more in attitude and outlook than much else. Still doesn't help first impressions that my hair, after 6 months of number 1 clipper cuts in basically the same as it was when I left, nor that the clothes I brought overseas are either on a ship, on the way back here, or I've worn them out. So I was probably dressed a lot like I was before I left NZ! Still I don't think Ash or Crispy have changed much either!. Although Crispy is oddly a lot thinner.

There have been quite a few new bars popping up around Wellington in my absence. All need exploring, which will take time, but thats all good.

So today I spent with Crispy getting our boards sorted for the trip up the hill tomorrow. The 5am start and 4-hour drive are a fair cry from the 10-minute bus ride that I used to make to go boarding last time. But its all part of the adventure I suppose. Popped into see Ash and finally saw the perihelion machine itself. Rather under-awed by its rather small stature. Specially after finally seeing Leon's M.F.P (Mother Fuckin Pooter) - The power house to all his evil plans for world domination, which also left me a little unimpressed! I think I was expecting something else of both these computers fromthe other side of the world. Still I suppose its what's inside that counts isn't it ;)

New Start 7:05AM

So now its time to prove the description above wrong
