That last entry was a little epic huh..

I too saw the Matrix on the opening night. Almost out geek you all cos I got to see it free at a Microsoft premier. Quite a random really. Had worked late till about 8pm on Friday and was just picking up my stuff at the office. My manager comes over:

'What are you up to tonight Tom'

'Not much. Probably a few beers then an early night. Gotta work tomorrow too'

'Oh you're not seeing the new Matrix then?'

'Nah didn't manage to get tickets, well didn't really try I more like it'

'Oh I've a got a spare one to the 8:45 session if you want to come along'

Personally wasn't that impressed with the movie. Except the car chase on the motorway was darn cool. Apparently they built 3km or so of motorway specially for it?

That Saturday was FirmNation at Phoenix. It was a fundraising event for the station that DJ Manson plays on. Leon, who has his own station, was like:

'Who are they fundraising for'

'Them selves of course!'

$10 door charge and 4 rooms with heaps of good DJs. All good.

Yeah so last Friday was huge one. Good riddance Crispy one ;)

Saturday was a nightmare. Hung over as shit. Can't quite beat you're useless flatmate farmgirl but one of mine comes pretty close at times.. and yesterday was one case in point.

Saturday night it was back out to a bar. My sister is here from the states with a group of students. They are studying tourism. So of course they have to have a trip to the other side the world. (why didn't I take this kind of course at uni ' we were supposed to have a trip to a computer server room in town once ' that was cancelled).

So last night they were watching the rugby, and I had to show them around town a bit afterwards. 15 kids, 12 girls aged 19-22. (Again why didn't I study this kind of course at uni!) I was still shattered from the night before.
Most of them bailed back to the hostel early and they didn't have heaps of money and being ten years younger than me and from the states they were really on a different planet.
