Another week slips by.. 7:19AM

Well the last week for a change hasn't felt like it's flown by. Its dragged like a thing that drags a lot. So all the boring bits of the week stretch out as far as they feasibly could given the rules of space and time.

Last week started off well. Monday was the VORB movie session. My friend Tama runs this enormous sprawling beast of a website ' to raise funds for the website, and for Makara peak mountain bike park and just because it was cool Tama organized two cycling movies at the Paramount.

These are like porn movies for cycling. Although I suppose in porn movies they try and have a plot, no matter how lame. In biking movies they don't even try. Which is personally right up my alley ' since any plots are usually very poor and the acting painful ' much better they get on with what they do well.. just people riding bikes very well for an hour or so. If you've ever seen a skiing movie its much the same ' except swap the skis for bikes and the snow for dirt.

Tama had organized two Australasian premiers of new movies, one English BMX movie, Cassette, and a mountain biking movie called Rise, some of which was filmed in NZ, and had a couple of Wellington choons in the soundtrack, courtesy of Rhombus.
All good.
About 250 or so of Wellington bikers showed up.

After that I drove to Palmerston North - for an exciting week of activity ' about here is where the week started to drag. Farmgirl you must tell me the exciting things to do in the 'Big Smoke' because I can't find them. Probably not helped by living inthe big brother house, working till 7pm every night and leaving before the weekend starts!

Eat. Sleep. Work. Eat Sleep. Work. .. etc

About the highlight of the week was on Wednesday we made a house trip out to see a movie. So the movie started at 8:30 we thought we'd allow plenty of time to get through the traffic, find a park, find the theater, queue for tickets and get food. We left at 8:15. By 8:21 we were ready with all the pre-movie tasks completed.

The work was frustrating. There were several things I needed to do. All were held up by things not working as they were supposed, things that were supposed to have been completed already, or things that hadn't arrived yet! When any of the things I was waiting on showed up it invariably didn't work as it was supposed to. I found three documentation errors in one product and every time I found something I could to do to fix things up I was told that either there was no budget, somebody else was doing it, or we'd do that later.

Anyway the weekend finally rolled around ' and I remembered why I like living in Wellington, in an old house. I spent most the two days of it eating as far as I can remember. Well two brunches and two big roast dinners.

Managed a day trip out to Makara beach with DJ Manson, Brooke, Jaxs' flattie and Jax. Nice day.

Saw the movie the ""City of God"" on Saturday since it aws raining and poxy.. well worth seeing. But not an 'entertainment' movie! You'll be thinking pretty hard at the end as its quite affecting. Would have been in the pub afterwards drowning our woes .. but I had more eating to do.
