From work 9:17AM
Good morning all, this will just be a short entry as I'm at work at the moment and should really be working. My computer lies in pieces at home at the moment. I am trying to merge it with Crispies computer to get an extra 33Mhz and 16MB ram out of it. Problem is it doesn't want to work. Now my PC won't even start up and Crispies one crashes while trying to load Windows. This means I can't add diary entries from home so they may be a bit sparse for the next couple of days while I sort this little dilema out. On the up side I may be able to have three browser windows open at once if I get it going or even be able to play MP3s (my old P100 can't handle the pace).
So whats been going on since my last entry then? Well I have brought an Edmonds cook book finally, a necessity in life, I spent Wednesday night trying to upgrade my PC but was tired so left it. Gerry's boyfriend Dom is up from Dunners. He seems a cool guy. Yesterday Gerry, Fiona & I went and tried out roller hockey, kinda like ice hockey but with roller blades and on concrete. It was pretty full on, the guy had us doing backwards circles while pointing our sticks into the centre of the circle then flipping round to frontways etc. After heaps of practise exercises we had a quick game. It was excellent. I went hard out. I would go for the puck, hit it, then smack into the wall cause I couldn't stop. Also had a few near collisions, one of which was with Fee. I was lucky I didn't knock her over cause we colided quite hard. But anyway it rocked, I was pretty tired afterwards but recovered in the car home and suggested another blade round town once we got home. I lent my crap blades to Dom and we went round Oriental Parade. It was cool. By the time we got home we had been out for 3 hours (including the roller hockey). I will have to try that one again some time. I would also like to buy my own stick and puck and practise in some car parks that I found are empty at night.
Thursday at work was good. I spent the day in Petone, sitting in a server room running scripts. The server room was a concrete box that cut out most forms of communication (bye bye cell phone) so it was a nice and peaceful day in their while I listened to CDs on my discman and waited round for the scripts to run.
Got other stuff to write about but better do some work instead. Will come up later.
