The Book of Ashes

Ashes

Legend in his own mind, creator of all you see here, he walks this Earth on the path of the becoming.

In Tyler we trust. In this world we do not. We all play parts in a great disatisfaction. We all live illusions of a life that is working out. But it is not. We are not happy with our jobs. We are not happy with our bank balance. We are not happy with the items of clothing that we own nor the physical shapes of our bodies. We always want more and why? Our generation has had no Great Depression, no Great War. Our war is spiritual. Our depression is our lives and our lives are filled with disatisfaction. What do we do to solve this problem? We run away. We travel overseas. We change jobs. We switch to another city one day and never tell any of our friends. We do not face the problem. But no matter where we go or what we do we come back to ground zero. We must face the facts. We are God's middle children with no special place in history and no special attention. Unless we get God's attention, we have no hope of damnation or redemption. We were raised on television to believe that we'd all be millionares, movie gods, rock stars, but we won't. And we're
starting to figure that out.

It's only after you've lost everything
that you're free to do anything.

Life is a bitch, put shortly, and sooner or later everyone realises this. Have you ever wondered why everyone you know is unhappy with their jobs, why everyone wants to go overseas or do something else but they don't know what? Have you noticed that everyone has their problems, that they are never happy and always striving for that something else. Have you ever wondered why you never reach your goals. Have a think about it. There is an answer, you just might not like it...

Today I got up early and wondered round to catch up with Amy. She was disorganised as usual. Still sleeping in bed by the time I got round there and only half awake. We caught up while she made what seemed like her first ever scrambled eggs (how long you been flatting Amy? 6years? more?). Then I took her round to see the Robyn's florist and we went out for a coffee. She will be working down on Oriental parade so I might be catching up with her more often. After this Tom came round. He had just left for Palmy yesterday and was back again today. I gave him a hair cut (yes I am the legend) for his new job then we headed into town to pick out a suit for him. He looks good in suits. 100x tidier than his tattered student gears and with his natural blond hair I think he will find his chick pulling power increased ten fold. Still he had no idea. I had to pick everything out for him and show he the ropes. We eventually found a nice number and he will most likely purchase it tomorrow. Its more money than he usually spends in a year on clothes, all gone in one quick eft-pos transaction. He'll get over it. He'll be earning big bucks within a year or two.

The photos are now up. You can check them out under the 100 club link off the missions page. Hope they are entertaining for you all. Tonight is rubbish night so we finally got rid of all those left over bottles. We only had about 10 super market bags full of bottles. All gone now. Tomorrow is a big day. Will write about such things then... night all
