Party at Ashes (apparently) 11:54AM

So now everyones back and starting work again. Everyone except Dan and I that is. My insurance is finally being sorted after an eternity or so it seems. I guess that means I'm going to have to pull the finger out and do some fucking work. Thats going to be a bitch. I've become accustomed to sleeping in altho all this painting work of recent has been good for me.

So Friday I had a party at my place. It was a little bit last minute and many people were away but I set the flat up with some MP3s pumping from the computer out the stereo and some sweet visualisations happening thru the TV. I set a start time of 7pm and no one turned up till 9pm... It is funny tho, I no longer have that oh, no, my parties a flop, I've got no friends, no ones going to come feeling. I don't particulaly care cause I'm secure with my friends now but anyway everyone had told me they would be late. It ended up being about 15 people and a stinking hot muggy night. Crispy and Sifty Tom didn't fail to impress. They turned up in costume as required as the Telly-Tubbies (see the disturbance area for the 10th of Jan). It was a pretty cool night actually, nice and relaxed, catching up with good mates for the first time this year and then heading out onto the town. The photos will reviel that some of us got a little action (all of us if you count seeing Tom's nipple as action). It ended up being Dodgey Steve, Bryth (the other Tom), myself and Martin (who wasn't drinking cause he was on call). We went to Watkins bar which has some funky shit in it. In particular the wall hanging that looks like a tunnel of lights fading off into infinity. Very cool. We ended up doing Tequila shots there and Martin probably did 5 Tequila shots over the course of the night which was impressive considering he was on call. Next was Jet bar where we ended up dancing with many people. It was going off. I think Bryth had a good time too. It was a 5:30 return home and then a rude awakening at 12 to catch up with Sifty Tom and then help out Steve with the last of his painting. Hung over painting is not heaps of fun but I luckily wasn't too hung over.

So Bev and Jo are now back, as are Dan and Kat. They all had wicked holidays and are all back at work today (Dan seeking work). We caught up on Sunday which was the rainy day. Today I should receive a new 128MB smart media card for my camera and some extra dosh for helping out with the painting. I am pretty stoked with that. I have to go to the gym now as its been awhile and surprising as it may sound I have put on a little Christmas fat, I now weight in at 75kg. Not that I look any fatter but I really want to see my abs and they are there, bulging bars of steel, awaiting release from the thin layer of fat that insulates them from the world. I need to get back into the 5-10km runs to remove that. Still have a competition going with Gerry to see who can see their abs first. She is returning at the end of March this year so it will be good to catch up with her for a while.

Well as I said the gym calls and then other tasks. I have had an email from Ems having trouble accessing the diary pages (DUE) and so hopefully we should hear from her soon. BTW DUE is a Dumb User Error (programming jargon, used surprisingly often in the industry to refer to our clients)
