I've gone and done it now, and bought me a camera. I don't know which models Ash and Sifty have so I couldn't compare. Mine is a Casio Exilim EX-Z50. 5MP, very small pocket size with a 512MB SD, and a nice big 2" LCD. Got it for US$320 incl tax. In UK it is US$480. Nice deal. I comes with a cradle and US plug but it handles the different voltages with no issue. http://exilim.casio.com/
The weather has been crappy here so I've only managed a small amount of sigh-seeing. I saw the lows and highs - went to ground zero of the trade centre, and then rode to the top of the Empire State building. City was very pretty at night, but it was soo fkkn cold outside that I didn't stay long considering the 1.5 hrs of queueing it took to get up the lift!
My credit card has been misbehaving so I ended up with some nice new toys after shopping on 5th Avenue and Madison, including some sunglasses that should guarantee to get me laid.
On Sat night after finishing some quiets with a couple of work mates I went to a random little bar full of Russians. Got a Bulgarian girl's phone no. although her boyfriend didn't seem too pleased about it. I escaped with the number and without getting beaten up :)
I think this week is going to be full of hard yards in the office, so I should have a big blow out this coming weekend. Rock the apple!
