Fresh Spam 5:56PM

Someone must have singed me up. In the last two days I have suddenly received more span that I normally get in a month. In fact most of it was over night. Was it YOU who did this to me? Two of the items were specifically for a gym in Wellington. That's extremely suspicous. I really don't want to lose this email address to spam. I've given it to girls around the world, and besides, it's just a damn cool address.

Blue 6:03PM

Blue is a mysterious color, hue of illnes and nobility, the rarest colour in nature. It is the colour of ambiguous depth, of the heavens and of the abyss at once; blue is the colour of the shadow side, the tint of the marvelous and the inexplcable, of desire, of knowledge, of the blue movie, of blye talk, of raw meat and rare steak, of meloncholy and the unexpected (once in a blue moon, out of the blue). It is the colour of anode plates, royalty at Rome, smoke, distant hills, postmarks, Georgian silver, thin milk, and hardened steel; of veins seen through skin and notices of dismissal in the American railroad business. Brimstone burns blue, and blue candle flame is said to indicate the presence of ghosts. The blue-black sky of Vincent van Gogh's 1890 Crows Flying over a Cornfield seems to express the painter's doom. But, according to Grave Mirabella, editor of Mirabella, a blue cover used on a magazine always guarantees increased sales at the newstand. "It is America's favorite colour", she says. Perhaps human nature does desire the deep, dark and mysterious. I know I certainly do

Why Blue? 6:11PM

My hotel room is distinctly blue. Most hotel rooms are a mix of soft colours, or if they choose to be bold and expressive, then red would dominate. Never do I see blue shining through. Perhaps it is a desire to counter the grey washed out flask of obscure contrast that New York provides in January. Do they forget the intense sharpness of the television screens in Time Square? The Hersey's chocolate shop in strong brown and white. The Virgin and Coca Cola signs dominating the landscape in read and white. The Jack and the Bean Stalk green, the Toys R Us Yellow.

Is it because blue is forgotten? My hotel seeks to balance the blocks of Manhattan

Consistent style, forever hoping 6:15PM

In the expected style, when travelling....

I've made friends with the sexy girl at the bar in my new hotel. She claims she's going to email me the trancey track she helped produce, and come to London soon. Bar speak. If it happens, it's a miracle, but I still put some pocket fluff into the jar of expectation and hope. Just don't sneeze anyone please.

What to do in NY, NY 6:21PM

I've finally put some good effort into my time in New York, New York. On Thurs night I went to Prune, and top notch NY restaurant, with my work mates. Turns out one of them has moms working on the decks, so we got a private room and a low effort dinner. On Fri night I went to Crobar to see Deep Dish (I think they are stalking me). Crobar is a typical American super-club. Big and funky. Decent sound system. Lots of VIP areas that I couldn't get into. The boys did a good job, and I captured a bit of video for my new mate at the hotel bar, because she wanted to go but couldn't escape the iron grasp of bar management.

Today (Sat), I walked for hours and hours around Central Park. It is big. No, really, it is BIG. Probably as big as Hyde park, but long and thin, so it takes heaps longer to walk from one end to the other. My guide book just told me (bing bong) that it is 843 acres.

Some things in life really are free 6:23PM

Hey, I'm surfing for free. From my hotel room there are nearly a dozen unsecured WiFi networks just gagging for action.

Here I am baby. Action man.
