Dogshit Park 12:45PM

Last night I went to quite a funny BBQ, in north London. The party was supposed to be a new flat warming but the boiler in the new flat had blown up and the landlord had moved to them all to one of his much flasher apartments around the corner for a week. So the flat warming happened there instead.

This apartment was a bascially new building in behind some old houses. Since the drive in was so cramped they had fitted a car turning around turntable thingee. A huge circular steel platform in the asphalt, and a button on the wall the that turns it on. (Personally I've seen much worse drives and had to reverse up them in the rain with all the windows fogged up. But thats Pizza delivery stories for another day).
Anyway at one point pretty much the entire party was standing on this platform as it spun slowy around.
Very silly but quite fun.
I imagine the neighbours were freaky out big time about the new neighbours, who had been there less than one day and were already having loud parties with people who could be entertained for extended periods by riding the car turntable.

Friday turned into quite a big night. Not through any planning, just sort of happened that way. I'd been invited out by Tania and Veronika with some of their friends to drinks at a bar in the city. Had a couple of bottles of wine before hitting the tube and walking a bit to this bar. There we met up with some more friends of the girls. Marcus and I learned that apparently it was supposed to be a girls night out and some of the girls we met up with were a bit miffed that there were boys there - (Their boyfriends would worry, be jealous and annoyed that they weren't invited out - or some other couple bullshit!). Anyway after a couple of hours there and several pints, we walked back to the Dover, which is a 'later' night bar near us (well okay 2am is late here!) and had a few more pints. One of the girls friends, who shall remain anon, started passing around some pharmaceuticals and we all rolled back the the flat. Some how it was soon 6am! and we're all still up listening to moochy choons, lolling about in couches. Oh dear.

Next day it was up and into the park. Since its Jubilee weekend here there was a massive PA playing hiphop and laid back reggae tunes nearby. This was just a private party pretending to be a street party, in honour of the queens jubliee, which i suppose is how they got away with a pile of speakers the stuck out above the wall and filled the entire neighbourhood with massive phat bass. All good for sitting in the park. Ended up getting a bit sunburnt. Nice way to farewell the flat since the next day everybody moved out. The place is being done up and they're all moving back in 6 weeks. But for now I'm kind of left in the lurch accomodation wise. Yet again.

Incidentally the park we were sittng in is called Dogshit park. Well it isn't really but if you use the real name nobody knows what your talking about
